IIn the past year, I have been especially interested in the effects of the ongoing Middle East wars on our own country. In woman’s work, the ancient theme of women at home, knitting and stitching, waiting for their men at war resonates even today. The added irony of the Hummer complicates the simple dynamic of home an battlefield.
